How We're Helping
We are a community-based organization focused on helping make the Brimfield and Suffield Communities a better, happier place.
Bringing Community Unity to "Field", we will engage in "Spirit Pride" Events and Fundraisers that will benefit the Students and Athletes at Field Local Schools.
The Big Red Fund
Originally "The Big Red Fund", we were established in 2010 by Parents, Community Members, Alumni, Teachers and Coaches that wanted to raise funds to support the long term betterment of our Athletic Facilities through private fundraising.
With athletic funding on the decline, and athletic facilities at the bottom of the list, our group has made it a priority to raise funds so our student athletes have access to safe equipment and facilities.
Our first endeavor was the Field High School track, having completed that we went on to raise funds for Track equipment. Our next focus was the bleachers in the High School gymnasium. We were able to purchase used bleachers, bringing our gymnasium seating up to code and making them handicapped accessible. We have also helped the majority of the teams purchase various equipment and uniforms they needed totaling more that $25,000. In the 8 years since the Big Red Fund was established we have raised over $225,000 for the Student Athletes at Field Local schools, but we are not stopping there....
Who we are now..
The Big Red Fund seeing a need for Community Spirit decided to take a new direction. So The Big Red Fund Community Foundation was formed. Beyond the Annual Big Red Fund Dinner Event, we have various projects in the works, we think you will love the new direction we are taking.
